The WYO W.E.S.T. Warrior Foundation joined our team for lunch then came by Vacutech’s main manufacturing facility Thursday for a tour.
The entire Vacutech team was honored to welcome these remarkable servicemen, servicewomen, and their families. Several of our own veterans also joined us as we greeted these warriors upon their arrival to Sheridan.
Each year, the WYO W.E.S.T. Foundation invites vets and Gold Star Families to spend Labor Day in Sheridan and participate in what they call “The Best Weekend Ever.” The weekend includes comradery and activities ranging from shooting to skydiving.
Vacutech’s design and production departments teamed up to create “challenge coins” to present to the WYO W.E.S.T. warriors and our own vets. Challenge coins are small medallions that bear a group’s emblem. Service members often collect the coins and keep them as mementos of their visits to various organizations.
We also presented the group with a Vacutech-made sign to thank them for their service.
We’d also like to add a huge thank you to our lunch partner sponsors: Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country, Jimmy John’s, Holiday, and Event Tents LLC.
Each of these vets and their families have their own remarkable story, and we can’t thank them enough for taking the time to spend the afternoon and visit with us. We humbly wish them The Best Weekend Ever.
